Description of RAVEN R9-4 Gas Blowback Pistol
RAVEN R9-4 is an improved version of the successful R9 platform.
This Airsoft pistol is built with high-quality materials, using an aluminum alloy for the body and slide and a durable polymer for the grips. The body and slide are made through CNC cutting, ensuring high precision in its assembly, and then are coated with electrostatic paint to achieve a durable, matte finish.
The R9-4 stands out for its precision, thanks to its 6.03 mm inner barrel and an adjustable hop-up unit, allowing it to shoot with great accuracy at typical pistol engagement distances. The protected green fiber sights make target acquisition easier, especially in low light conditions. The Airsoft pistol operates similarly to a real firearm, with controls that mimic those of a real pistol, but using the popular 6mm BBs. The fire selector offers two modes: “Safe” and “Semi-Automatic.” When the safety is engaged while the pistol is cocked, the pistol decocks automatically and the trigger is locked.
The firing system of the R9-4 combines single and double action, allowing you to load the first BB from the magazine and then engage the safety. From this position, the first shot is performed with a long trigger pull (double action), in which the hammer is cocked before firing. After the first shot, the slide retracts and the hammer is re-cocked, which turns subsequent shots into single action, with a shorter and smoother trigger pull. Controls such as the disassembly lever, slide safety, and magazine release function with great precision and smoothness.
The R9-4 comes equipped with a 20mm rail with 3 slots, allowing you to mount accessories such as tactical flashlights and lasers, providing a tactical advantage in CQB (close-quarters battle) scenarios. It also includes a lanyard ring at the base of the grip, ensuring better control during use. Additionally, the external barrel has a 14 mm CCW thread for adapting silencers or tracers.
Regarding performance, the Airsoft pistol offers an exit velocity of 325 FPS (100 MPS) with 0.20g BBs using NUPROL 2.0 or Vorsk V6 gas at a temperature of 20°C. The R9-4 includes a gas magazine with a capacity of 24 BBs, though CO2 and extended magazines for 48 BBs are also available (sold separately).
